OB purposely sent Mobius out to be exposed to the skin-peeling radiation of the Sacred timeline in a cracked containment suit. The main reason I believe OB is the villain is the theme of loneliness in the Loki series. The season ended with both Lokis meeting the loneliest man of all time, He Who Remains, whose isolation drove him insane enough to send the entire Multiverse into chaos.

OB could potentially end up becoming a major force in the Multiverse Saga by the end of this season. I have a feeling that OB could be revealed as the king variant, Mr. Griffin, who was a version of Kang stranded in the modern century. Mr. Griffin was an extremely vindictive person, and OB’s connection to Kang Enterprises and his purchase of Stark Tower in the 616 timeline branch could make perfect sense.
